What is the Mission on Hand?

Jesus has entrusted us with an incredible mission—to share His story with the world: “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15). For more than 50 years, our church family has been dedicated to this mission. Through faith, we’ve witnessed God accomplish the impossible over and over again.

Now, we invite you to join us on our next journey, Mission on Hand. Through this initiative, we will build the new Tomoka Care Center, which will house our Thrift Store, Food Pantry, and new administrative offices. You’ll also see exciting updates in the student area, kids area, and worship center. Together, let’s continue to see what God can do!

What are the goals?

We are excited to share the vision for the Tomoka Care Center, a project that will help us better serve our community and continue to grow in ministry. Located on the northeast corner of Tomoka’s property, this new center will allow us to accomplish key goals that align with our mission to love God, love people, and make disciples. Here’s how the Tomoka Care Center and expansion plans will benefit our church and community:

  • Double the size of the Thrift Store and Food Pantry, allowing us to serve more families in need with essential resources.

  • House new administrative offices, creating more efficient operations to better support the church’s mission.

  • Expand the worship center to accommodate growth and incorporate technology upgrades that enhance the worship experience.

  • Double the space for Tomoka Students by moving the offices, giving our youth ministry the room it needs to flourish.

  • Improve security and modernization in the Tomoka Kids area, ensuring a safer and more engaging environment for our children.

Additionally, 10% of everything raised through the Mission On Hand initiative will go to North Florida Christian Camp, helping them upgrade and modernize their facilities to better serve the next generation.

Ways to give.

Courageously: On Commitment Weekend, everyone will be asked to make the largest one-time financial contribution to Tomoka they have ever made to support this initiative.

Consistently: On Commitment Weekend, everyone will be asked to pledge a monthly gift, above and beyond their regular giving, over the next 25 months.

Creatively: Everyone is encouraged to creatively give toward the project. This could include securities, DAFS, and QCDs, as well as vehicles, jewelry, coins etc.

  • Note: tangible items must be liquidated prior to donation.
