During a time in our world where so much negativity has been at the forefront of people’s minds, Tomoka has been able to bless local, national and international communities with food, housing, medical care and more.

“Tomoka is honored to partner with [missionaries] all over the world,” said Missions Director Connie Davis. “So many other churches have not been able to continue their support, and the Lord has blessed Tomoka with the ability to bless others. Our church family has been incredible, and we have been able to go above and beyond to care for so many hurting people.”

Along with providing food, housing and medical care all over the world, Tomoka has purchased Bibles for missionaries to distribute, donated masks for first responders and helped with disaster relief efforts in the U.S. and El Salvador.

One incredible win that has come out of the pandemic happened in a country where Christianity is punishable by death. Things had become so bad with COVID-19 that the streets were shut down. This meant the government wasn’t overseeing things they normally would have. Because of this, missionaries we support were able to pass out Christian fliers to people who had never heard of Jesus before.

Davis also had insight on the current situation that spoke volumes in regard to The Church. “God’s light is shining brighter, because things are so much darker.”
